“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:4–5 · KJV
Being a lover girl at heart can make waiting especially difficult. You have so much love to give, and sometimes you wonder when you will finally meet someone who will choose you, cherish you, and return that love with the same intention.
Waiting can make you question whether you should be doing more. Maybe you need to search harder, become more available, lower your expectations, or accept something that does not feel right because you are afraid nothing better will come.
But you do not have to force what God is asking you to trust Him with.
Trusting God with your person does not mean pretending you do not desire love. God already knows what your heart wants. It means believing that you do not have to abandon your standards, ignore warning signs, or chase someone who is uncertain about you just to receive it.
This season may not look the way you imagined, but waiting is not proof that God has forgotten you. Continue becoming the person He is calling you to be. Continue building a life filled with faith, purpose, joy, and love. The right relationship should add to that life—not require you to lose yourself to keep it.
You may not know when or how love will arrive, but you can trust God with what comes next. What is meant for you will not require you to betray yourself to receive it.
A Prayer for This Week
God, You know the desires of my heart, including my desire to love and be loved. Help me trust You when waiting feels lonely or discouraging. Give me the wisdom to recognize what is healthy, the strength to walk away from what is not, and the patience to avoid forcing something simply because I am tired of waiting. Remind me that my worth is not determined by my relationship status and that my life is still meaningful in this season. Prepare my heart for whatever You have planned, and help me remain close to You while it unfolds.
In Jesus’ name, amen. 🤍
I do not have to chase, force, or settle. I can trust God with my heart and with what comes next.
Until next time... hear Him out. 🤍
